- We choose every profile. We look above all at the care and honesty you put into your profile, not just at your looks. Not everyone is chosen: low-effort or misleading profiles aren't.
- Matching opens when there are enough of us. First in Prague, planned for December 2026. We'll tell you the day it opens.
- Nothing to spend until then. You can buy feathers once you're chosen and matching is open.

Is Ara for everyone?
Honestly, no. Ara is for people who want a serious, long-term relationship and are ready to put in honesty, a little time and a little money to find the right person. If that's not you, plenty of other apps will do a better job.
How does Ara choose profiles?
We review every profile and look at the care and honesty you put into it: every field filled in properly, real photos, answers that say something about you. Looks alone don't decide. We don't publish a checklist: a profile made with care speaks for itself.
What if I'm not chosen?
Your profile stays under review, and nothing is lost: you haven't spent anything. You can improve your profile at any time, and we'll look at it again.
Why isn't Ara free?
Because free apps are paid for with your attention: they earn more the longer you stay single and swiping, and then sell you an expensive subscription you pay every month, match or not. Ara earns when you match, so our interest is the same as yours. Spending feathers also keeps it serious: everyone you meet bought feathers before their ID check and puts one on each pledge, so nobody is here for an ego boost.
Where is my data stored?
Ara stores your profile, photos and messages in France, with a French host, under European law, where all your rights apply. Most dating apps keep your most personal details on servers in the United States, where, as a European, you are far less protected against surveillance.
Do you sell my data?
No. Ara shows no ads and never sells or shares your data. Some dating apps have been found sharing their users' most intimate data with advertisers. Ara earns when you match, not from what it knows about you.
When does matching open?
First in Prague, as soon as there are enough chosen people, planned for December 2026. A daily-matchmaking app needs enough people in one place, so we'd rather open well in one city than badly everywhere. You can join now from anywhere: we'll open your city when there are enough of you.
Can I delete my profile?
Yes, any time, from the app's settings. If you joined our former waitlist, email us and we'll delete your data.
